I have a had a few knocks to the confidence and tough times in the last few weeks. I’ll admit it, I have found moments hard to get passed. I thought I would chat today about how I have dealt with some common issues that arise in the working life.
Know your worth

Previously in my life I have sourced my confidence from external sources, my ballet teacher, my mum, my friends, and let’s face it, that is a lot of pressure on those people to handle. Also, unfortunately, however hard we try people let us down because they cannot be everything to us.
When I went self employed, I had to look inwardly for confidence because I couldn’t keep relying on others. I came to realise that if I was going to be successful on my own, it was time to see myself as worthy of success.
Knowing you are worth it and projecting that will get people to treat you in a manner that matches your worth!!
Dust off the downers and prove them wrong
Have you ever had someone say how wonderful you are and how important you are to their business and then with no explanation or warning rip everything from you leaving you feeling awful?? I have!!!
You know what I did when that person did that to me? I went out and found myself a client of my own and proved to them that I don’t need them to be successful. There will always be people who will want to try and break you down, I say dust off those downer and prove to everyone how amazing you actually are, because every single one of you are AMAZING!!!
A touch of self care
Something I have been looking forward to for what feels like forever is getting my nails done. Last week, I finally managed to get in with the nail technician and get them sorted. There is nothing quite like having your nails done or getting a new haircut when going through tough times. It gives me a positive outlook on life. And even though it has made me adjust my typing, every time I look at my nails I feel fabulous and gives me a spring in my step.

What is your favourite self care/pamper thing to do that gives you a ‘I am fabulous’ feeling?
Find another source of income to assist
You know that saying, ‘It’s not what you know, it’s who you know’? Well this worked in my advantage this week. A friend of mine heard of a part time job going for some housekeeping in a pub and let me know because she is the other half of the manager and I spoke to him yesterday and managed to score myself another source of income while I work on building my business. The worry about making it to the end of the month has been eased.
Thank you to my wonderful friend for giving me the heads up on that one!!
I think re-framing the tough things that happen in work situations into how am I going to make this work for me is how we evolve in our journeys. I have been reading so many different blogs lately and they have taught me there are ways to see life in a better way and to see joy in other things. Thank you to all the bloggers I follow who have such amazing things to say. If you are curious of the ones I read the most they are
