First post lockdown date

Posted on April 27, 2021 by debs92

Hello lovely followers 🙂 So the lockdowns really did a number on my dating life, as many of you can relate. I don’t think I have had a date in what feels like forever… Until now!! The classic online meeting.. I know how cliche, but hey, how else am I supposed to meet someone. We… Continue reading

A great man

Posted on April 19, 2021 by debs92

This has come a little late as I have been rather busy with my job, but I wanted to write a short post on HRH Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh. A great man who died just short of his 100th birthday but has given so much to the UK and it’s people. A well respected… Continue reading

I’ll be turning 30 in the not too distant future 😳😳 and as I look over those years I’ve had on this earth, gotta say there are some pretty epic experiences. Let me share some of them with you. Being examined by a Performing Arts legend If you aren’t into performing arts, you won’t have… Continue reading

Christmas time 🎄

Posted on December 22, 2020 by debs92

Well Christmas has come around again and 2020 Christmas has been an interesting one. The concept of a cold Christmas is still quite foreign for me. Growing up in the southern hemisphere, I’m used to Christmas falling right in the middle of summer. My first Christmas in the UK was so bizarre. I couldn’t get… Continue reading

Bring on the peeps

Posted on December 3, 2020 by debs92

Moving to a new city can be pretty scary. Especially when you don’t know a solitary soul. I started by going to a church that was recommended to me by a friend of my mum’s. To the surprise of people who know me, I’m actually pretty shy and don’t like to be in a situation… Continue reading

The best of the best

I’m going to go off topic a little today because it is a beautiful sister’s birthday and I wanted to share a bit about her with you all.. 2 years and 2months older than me, Alana has always been my fiercest protector and loving sister, but also the bossiest of all (a teacher right from… Continue reading

Experience the streets walked by a legend

Posted on November 17, 2020 by debs92

I arrived in the beautiful city of Bath on the 1st February, so it was still in the throws of my first winter in the UK. Yet, I was still blown away by its absolute beauty. The history in this city is mesmerizing. Arriving in a city where you know no one is quite a… Continue reading

She felt it in her ‘bones’

Posted on November 9, 2020 by debs92

So, I spent 5 months in the cold and grey Glasgow with a family member. Work was really difficult to find and it rained all the time (something this African born child wasn’t very used to). Tried working as a direct sales person, you know the ones you avoid eye contact with in the streets… Continue reading

My story

My name is Debs and thank you for checking out my little corner of the bloggersphere. I’ll start off with telling you a little bit about myself.

I grew up in Zimbabwe (Southern part of Africa) and went to dance school before realising the performing world wasn’t so much for me. Too cut throat if you ask me. I moved overseas after uni and tried a few different jobs while trying to find myself, before settling on owning my own business and working as a Virtual Assistant.

I discovered the glorious world of blogging for myself in November 2020, and what started as a blog to go along side my business became a lifestyle blog and my escape away for the tough side of life.

I hope you enjoy what you read here :)

Quotes from my favs

The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.

Walt Disney

It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.

J. K. Rowling

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.

Dr. Seuss
